    well, when i applied for my variation, i was told that my costs would be assessed etc, and it would be £35/week as thats the cost of the petrol.

    the CSA staff lie/ misinform ETC. EVERYBODY (including yourself) makes this clear.

    The CSA WANTS NRP's TO BE IN DEBT - SO AS TO GO FOR A DEO.
  • spoke to them today & they said (although the woman had no idea & had to google it, which gave me great faith!!!) that he gets 15p per mile, so if he travels 48 miles everytime he see's them its £7.20 off my maintenance which is fine considering he told me they told him he had to reduce it by £100!!!! :eek:

    It is only paid over a certain amount, and then by way of reduction from what his assessable income is... So it would not be that much i don't think... Haha

    @tinkerbell...

    see my post up above...

    its 7.20 off the ASSESSED NET INCOME... not off your maintenance. it will reduce maintenance by no more than £1. thats pretty much a CERTAINTY...

    (£210 of net income becomes £202.80 and you get 20% of that... well, before the reduction for a child taking a further 15% off his assessable income)

    and then as i said, its not 15p, its 6p / km, - which equates to roughly 10p/mile (i actually have a copy of the CSA Online Procedures - and its documented in there)
