How long do credit reports take to update?

Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been covered before in another thread but I just have one question. How long do credit reports take to update? I recently paid off a credit card and cancelled the card and the report still shows that I have the card and a balance from a month back or so.

Thanks in advance

Normally data is submitted once a month. If you need the information updating sooner contact the lender and ask them to update your CAIS.

Many lenders wait for a zero balance statement to be produced before carrying out their monthly update, so the max wait should be 2 months.

However, if it's LTSB we're talking about it could take 3-4 months!
