in Cutting tax
If you disposed of any chargeable assets, or had any chargeable gains, or you wish to claim an allowable loss, or make any other claim or election, do you need to complete the Capital Gains section?
For 10/11, I had a car where I used the depreciation method.
In 11/12, that car was written off, I purchased a new car, and will now be using the mileage method, with £50 to put forward for capital 'allowances'. Also have a phone to put forward for 'capital allowances.'
Does the above question get answered as 'yes'? Are 'gains' = 'allowances'? Or does it go in the main expenses bit?
Many thanks

Capital gains has nothing to do with your business - a completely different tax altogether.0
