Debenhams.com nightmare

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here it goes.

I had a very bad experience shopping with debenhams.com, from taking my money , spending ridiculous amount of time on the phone which I had to pay! Returned product , but didn`t get refunded for over a month after 4 very long frustrating calls with rude customer services. Naturally I am very angry that such a huge organisation can treat customers this way.

They gave me this address - head.office@contact.com -
to complain to get back the money I wasted. All the emails are turned as a frailer. They gave me a dud email to get rid off me!

Is there anywhere I can report debenhams.com - like trading standards or rip off Britain?

Iwish I found this before I shoped with them

DO NOT SHOP WITH DEBENHAM.COM they should disapier of the market!

On the other had the Debenhams store is different story, lovely people, but they are different company. I am sure the department store must be ashamed of its online partner.

I quick Google search reveals the e-mail is actually head.office@contactdebenhams.com

So you must have noted it down wrong.
  • I had a problem with a debenhams delivery and also spend ages on the phone. I wrote (old -fashioned I know!!) to the address on my Debenhams CC statement and complained about the amount of time I spent on the phone (cost of call etc) and they wrote back and added 500 points to my statement (£5 to spend in store)
It did make me feel a little better and have ordered off them since although still had problems (item cancelled, unable to fulfil order, slow refunds etc!!)
  • I have also had bad experiences with their online service - so many items keep listing as in stock when ordered and then I get rejection emails plus a weeks wait for my money to come back to me.

I've also had items arrive broken.

    Thanks Helix,
I have sent it to that addy now and hope they get it, but no, that was the address I was given. An I have Googled for days and could not find any address for them( I was probably too cross to see it,lol ) Well it just shows that some people are greater then others.Cheers

Just to let you know that the address didn`t work, came as undelivered.
    One thing is for sure
I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP IN DEBENHAMS ON LINE, NEVER, EVER, LIKE EVER!

You are not alone, there is another thread over on grabbit. Lots of people had orders cancelled (me included.) I won't bother with their online services again. I just got a curt standard email with no explanation. Item was still showing as available on their website too. Imbeciles or scoundrels, take your pick.

Unfortunately this is not just them but more and more online ordering - their stock systems just don't work. I've seen it tons of times on the shopping threads - Boots, Debs, Hallmark, etc etc etc etc etc etc

Stores only get one chance to mess me around (well, except Boots perhaps....). Reminds me, I need to check my CC for the refund...
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
