  • That's what I'd try to do. Or send an email if I didn't want to call. Obviously if the request was more complex I'd ask for more time and give an indication of when I thought I'd be able to get the documents needed. How they'd respond to that is anyone's guess but I don't see how they could have an issue so long as I wasn't taking the Micky.
I often use a tablet to post, so sometimes my posts will have random letters inserted, or entirely the wrong word if autocorrect is trying to wind me up. Hopefully you'll still know what I mean.

I would send it recorded delivery so as to be able to prove that it was sent in time for it to be received in the 7 days for sure...

If they can and must use child tax credits as income for calculations, why has the CMEC online calculator page been amended to include "working tax credits are included as income" but absolutely no mention of child tax credits at all.

Even though, child tax credits are included as it explains in their August 2012 release of frequently asked questions.

Their explanation seems somewhat hypocritical though. They explain they include all tax credits as tax credits reduce when income rises and so it is "fair and consistent" to include them ... Just like it is fair and consistent to completely disregard child maintenance INCOME for benefit purposes of course ;)
