You did the right thing reporting it. I know there is a lot of cynicism but IMO Iceland will have reported back to the supplier/ producer as it looks like something has fallen off the machinery. I would take the vouchers and not try and use it as a money making exercise.

I would be more concerned that you were feeding Iceland 'chicken' nuggets to other people's children. Barf.

I can think of worse things to feed them....... These became available in the USA ten years earlier than anticipated.

I recently found what I thought was a piece of glass in a tin of Heinz baked beans. (Turned out to be plastic). Got a snotty letter from them implying they didn't know where it came from (as though I'd put it in there!) and a £5 voucher. Used it for more beans!

One of my mum's friends had one of her tooth crowns fall out and the next tooth was dislodged after eating a foreign object in a Sainsburys own branded food (can't remember what the thing was and what food product at the mo) and she got £50 vouchers and the dental work paid for - £750 (well its London)

if you sent the product back to them then you should accept it,they will have binned it by now so it can not go further, if you still had the product you could tell them you are thinking of taking it further and they would offer more (i used to work in the food industry) you would be amazed what we offered some people to get our hands on the faulty/contaminated product. once we had it it always disappeared!!
customers would phone up and ask how the investigation was going, always the same answer,,,what investigation...

That's a ludicrous offer. Have you tried the no win no fee accident compensation lawyers? There are plenty of them and for sure that's not a reasonable offer.

Oh for goodness sake, don't you recognise sarcasm when you see it?

Do you two know each other? If not why should we believe that a comment is sarcastic just because some rude commentator says that it is without having any inside knowledge?
