The OP will also now receive a shiny Directory which will cost them £3.75 each time it's delivered.
Good point, when you open a next account you open a credit account. Make sure you pay off the jacket in full. It's free delivery because they send you a catalogue which they add £3.75 to your account. It only applies to the first order. You have to phone next to opt out of the £3.75 charge in the future0 -
And they are hoping you will want to buy more, or not pay it off straight away, therefore helping them to recoup their £10 and then some.SPC #1813

I spent best part of the afternoon with a salesman in Car Phone Warehouse as he showed me lots of mobile phones and benefits - after few hours I picked out the one I wanted - asked him if I can return it if I dont get along with it - Nope" was his reply - once bought its none refundable - so I told him I would order it over the internet (still from CPW) - he asked me why (which i cant understand) - I said to get 'distance selling regulations' so I CAN return it within a week if I find I dont like it
Surely a company the size of Car Phone warehouse should be aware of this and that their own high street stores are losing ££££'s to their own website
Simple answer (as many companys have discovered) is to offer the same return policy in-store as they do online
Must be Rocket Science maybe :rotfl:
and dont forget the extra benefit of DSR regulations because you have bought it online
DSR is great for furniture deliveries.. A lot of places (e.g. DFS) will charge you if you order a sofa in store, then when it gets delivered it won't fit / you don't like it.
Order online and you'll get Quidco AND DSR0 -

I always check the small print. Paid upfront for the jacket with credit card as they requested "to verify identity".
And I don't think £26 is too much to pay for a jacket for an almost 2 year old.0 -

You absolutely dont have to justify what you spend your hard earned on to posters here or anyone else.
So what if they wouldn't spend that on a jacket? It's none of their business is it?0 -

Exactly. It's not like spending mad amounts like hundreds of pounds on a jacket for a little lad, is it?0 -

Added to that, you would have spent £26 in the store and may not go back for another 6 months, the hope is that now you have a Next account you will spend far more money than you would have otherwise and pay interest on the items you don't pay for in full, in the long run it's worth the £10 to drag you into their credit account.
They're always touting for Directory customers at the front of the store, I avoid them like the plague.
She won't get a thing, except the pressure to get rid of more of them.
