Good to see they have a sense of humour about it....
“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Are these posters? I haven't noticed any of them yet. I do like them though.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Interesting comment from the Romanian Ambassador to London:
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/d10bcbf6-6c9c-11e2-b73a-00144feab49a.html#axzz2JpNJdgHc
Says essentially that the Romanians leaving are either high skilled and leaving skills shortages at home (eg doctors) which causes problems in Romania, or hard working and coming to do jobs Brits won't do (eg fruit picking). He believes that as the Romanian economy is growing and ours isn't, a tsunami of Romanians isn't going to hit the UK.
Has anyone seen the real ads yet?
ETA: the ads also contradicts this, which is on the Foreign and Commonwealth website for Romania, the govt needs to be clear what its message is:

This has been posted in 100's of places. I think you should stop talking about HPC.0 -
I don't understand the context of these adverts I.e. "we may not like Britain". But they are very sexist. I hate advertising for a product supposed to appeal to everyone is only aimed at men. My money is as good as anyone's! It makes me actively avoid that product. I suppose I'll be told to 'lighten up' etc but am just saying how I feel.0

I don't get it. How are the ads sexist?
Racist perhaps in that they use negative stereotypes but I don't see sexist. Only one of the ads is about women at all and that just says Romanians are better looking that Britons. That's a matter of opinion but it's not sexist.0 -
Those ads are all true though!0

Not sure about the one about Kate and her sister. Lots of body hair and a fair few swamp donkeys to boot.
Henna are going to do a rip roaring trade in supermarket lip blond kits and wax strips.0 -

Mmmm... Famous British sisters, Kate and Pippa. Famous Romanian sisters, the Cheeky Girls. Not going too well for Romania so far. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? It's using women as a product to attract people to their country. It's also therefore aiming its advert at the proportion of the population interested in women. Probably not a bad marketing strategy if they want their country to attract the stag market and become feral like some other E Euro cities but sexist in my opinion. And don't get me very wrong, it's a card I very rarely use but the whole advertising disregarding my spending power piece is a real bug bear.0
