We recently had a flyer through the door for farmfoods with some vouchers. Was surprised to see that they did lots of brand foods, I thought they just sold own band cheaply. Anywhy as my freezer and cupboard are very bear I decided to go for a look around. Was very impressed, There bread and milk are cheaper than tescos as were crisps. The bread was kingsmill and crisps were walkers. I also bought some Birds eye fish which was on offer and uncle ben curry sauses. I spent 50.00 but when I went through the same things from tescos the bill would have been 80.00. So very happy and their carrier bags are much better than tescos!!:j I am getting fed up with tescos as there own brand stuff isn't as good as it use to be, there fruit and veg never lasts
. This week I will try the local market for fruit and veg. Already go to the butchers whoes meat is excellent and cheaper than tescos. Tescos meat is vile and tasteless!

Hi rev229,
As your thread is no longer on the first page of Old Style I have moved it over to the Shop but Don't Drop board to see if you can get more replies.

I have a Farmfoods within walking distance but in the year since I've moved here I've never been there once!!!! We always go to Tesco and Aldi. There is even a Lidl right next to Farm Foods. We've just bought a freezer so will take a trip there. I don't usually buy much frozen, just birds eye fish fingers etc. I will have to check them out!0

Farmfoods is cracking - i can thoroughly recommend it...
90% of stuff is FAR cheaper than most places - i mean where else can you get ben & jerrys for £1 per tub or 5 bounty bars for £1.... BUT - do watch out - they do make their money elsewhere - don’t just presume everything’s cheap - for example condensed milk is £1 per can!
good luck

Our local Farmfoods is not that near but when we are passing is always worth a visit to find the bargains. I'm not a person who regularly shops in these 'freezer centre' type places, nearer we have Iceland but almost everything is more expensive in there than the large supermarkets (I don't know if Iceland varies their prices by location?).
Some people are snobbish about Farmfoods but their stock goes from cheaper ranges up to the premium stuff at reasonable to very good prices.
I too think their carrier bags are extremely good quality (& free) and good for storing things around the house.0 -
Yup, another Farmfoods fan here. There is one a few miles from me so I pop in when I am passing. Their 'Any 2 items in this freezer for £1' type offers are great, as it means you dont have to buy 2 of the same product if you dont want to.2008 gig list... Nickelback + Staind (OMG...Staind ROCKED!!), Roger Waters, Infadels, Pendulum, The Police, K T Tunstall, Breed 77, Biffy Clyro....oh, and Motorhead

Very good point, one which I didn't know about when I first visited, that you can mix the multibuys through out the store and it doesn't have to relate to freezer items. Ie. if muesli was on 2 for £1.50 and frozen raspberries were on the same offer (2 for £1.50) you can get one of each and the tills know to charge just £1.50 etc.
I did see a sign once which said the loaves of bread multibuy couldn't be mixed so you had to by two loaves of bread to get the discount - not sure if this is still the case.0 -

This would no longer apply but currently loaves of bread are sold at 2 for £1.30 - the only products currently on this multibuy offer0
