What is a dependant ?

I'm in the process of completing my mortgage application, I'm doing in my own name as I earn £105k a year, have £150k deposit, and only looking for a mortgage of £100K. so don't really need to include the other halfs income.
I have a civil partner, who doesnt work, but has his own income via works pension and DLA.
Question, is he a dependant ?

No issues with mortgage whether they are included or not. Do you want wish your partner to have an interest in the property i.e. part ownership.0

Its who financially depends on you. If he depends on you put yes and explain, if not then dont. With £56k salary i got £100k mortgage no problem, you will be fine.:eek:Living frugally at 24

If your partner is not financially dependent on you then for mortgage purposes they are deemed non-dependent.0
