Advice on Freezing Sauce
missymish
I made a pasta sauce last night
It consisted of:
Can of chicken soup
splash double cream
cooked smoked bacon
shredded cooked chicken (not previously frozen)
Some cream cheese (philly alike)
Grated cheese
So my question is could I freeze this, there is quite a bit left and it seems a shame to throw it, the chicken used in it had its use by yesterday though. We wont be having it for dinner tonight as I had already got out some sausages from the freezer! So need to use those up.
Any advice appreciated

I would, nothing in it that sounds like it shouldn't be frozen. The chicken's been cooked / heated on it's use by date so ought to be fine to eat or freeze today.0

everything has been cooked so it should be fine to freeze - Ive done it hundreds of times and its been fine!
go ahead hun - funny thing is - it usually tastes better second time around!0 -
Yep, plonk it in a ziplock bag or a tub and freeze it. If it separates a bit when you are defrosting it just stir well and make sure it's properly hot before you serve it. Should be fine!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
