    Thanks again.

Leaving the claim to a side for now.

Does anyone know whether or not cutting off the life insurance policy would affect his future chances of getting a re-mortgage approved? I know that there will be other factors too. Another thing is his age, if a policy does in fact increase his chance of getting approved, I am not even sure if they will accept him again if he is to get another policy at another date. Though if possible he would like to make do without it.

So, finally........there was a mother! Further more you admit she couldn't have afforded the mortgage payment in the event of your father's death.

Rather than making a complaint, I think you should applaud the adviser for protecting your mother and mortgage. I can't help feeling that you have the "issue" and not your father. open your eyes and look at the wider aspects and not just the ££££ signs.

Actually I am not even looking to make a complaint as I said in other posts. But I would still like to know. My father doesn't like getting involved so leaves everything to me. If I don't know the facts I wouldn't be able to help him, hence my reason for asking.

The thing is not that the insurance is bad, but that my father didn't know the reason why he bought it.

Well, you can only presume he bought it after having it explained to him, to protect your mother and children should the worst happen. Thank you lucky stars that it didnt. He and his have had the protection over the years.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
