I have recently started working for the NHS and am aware that i get discounts on alot of high street stores. I know about nhsdiscounts.com but there are a few on there that havent been included like Nandos (20% off on showing your NHS card!!).. are there any other gems that havent been listed on the site?!

You can get cheap Microsoft Products - ie latest Microsoft Office for approx £17.00 as well as other Microsoft software, ie. Xbox games. All you need is an NHS email address. There is free on-line training on that site too.

Check with your HR dept , I work at a central London teaching hospital and there are loads of local deals with restaurants, chemists, sandwich bars, gyms and the like probabaly a result of us having several thousand employees but if they don't have something sorted they should be trying...

To my eternal shame the most used discount is the McDonalds breakfasts and value meals which we get at McD staff prices....

Check on the intranet at work, we have an updated list available by HR on there. (although i havent checked it for ages...)

Includes loads of shops locally such as Au Natrale, Peacocks, Dorothy Perkins etc...local Swimming Pools, Cinemas, Fast-food places and sandwich shops.

I always carry my ID badge when i go out shopping:T
