Well Im feeling better already!
Today I contacted my current landlord with regards to the fact Im registered as a keyworker...
I was advised that Im eligible for 1 of their keyworker intermediate rent schemes and all I need to do is to keep an eye out on the market... they've got 8 properties coming up this month for rent in the region of £480 - £550 pm. Thats a minimum saving of £186 pm! Plus as Im already a resident of theirs I would not need to give them a deposit before getting my other deposit back - they can just transfer it across. It'll also be a cheaper deposit and they'll refund me the difference! So now its happy cheaper flat hunting!
Because Im not sure how long this whole thing will take I still got in contact with my water co. and requested a water meter application - as I do think £28 pm for 1 person is quite high? Would you agree?
I rang my mobile phone co. today also and found out that Im eligible for a free phone upgrade... its due to arrive tomorrow... and as my own phone is still perfectly fine... Im going to sell the new one on ebay!
Im still not too sure what to do about my credit cards... Im up to my limit on 2 of them and on the other 2 I havent got a great amount of available credit to spend so the shuffle is not gonna be the best option for me...
I did ring all of them to ask for a reduced apr... but each advised they have no offers at this time to do this.
I did apply for a personal loan with northern rock so I could consolidate the cards but unfortunately I was declined... its really frustrating as I know I've got a good credit score... In the letter they said if I wish to appeal then to write in and to send anything in that backs up my appeal such as payslips etc... I thought about giving it a shot... What does everyone think?
Or... its a case of applying for other credit cards with 0% b.t but after being declined with northern rock... Im abit concerned I'll get declined again... and do that whole snowballing thing!
Anyway thanks for reading... and have a "proud to be dealing with my debt" good day... coz its absolutely gorgeous outside!!!

Hi there
I have read both your threads this lunchtime and I think you are really doing well, posting your LBM and already you have looked into options for you.
I would say to not consider taking another loan to consolidate your debts, with a little hard work for the next few months you could find yourself in a much better situation, I don't mean debt free but more managable. I too, like you took out loans and then spent on the credit cards again and now have over 50K of debt! I am dealing with it bit by bit and hope to have cleared my first card by the end of this month - yippee!! So, I would say look at other threads, think of ways to cut cost (on everything) and keep a spending diary, this has been very helpful to me as makes me think before I spend and find 9 times out of 10 I leave the shop with nothing in my hands and not having spent a penny.
It's not easy and all takes time and dedication but it's great when you start seeing a difference. There are no quick fixes but keep at it and in time I am sure you will be seeing a diffrence.
Good luck!0 -

Sorry for the late late response but thanks for the support!
I'm gonna post an update tomorrow with all my savings, findings & so much more! I've even been advising a few of the girls in work, giving them tips. I feel so good... this site is the best thing since sliced bread!
