There is no harm in asking. You should address your letter to the original lender and also ask for deed of assignment to the DCA.

Again the consumeractiongroup has a template letter for this. Good luck!

    I got a response within a week!!

But guess what - all 3 letters I recieved were computer generated.
Letter 1 - Standard letter asking me to call them
Letter 2 - Direct debit mandate
    Letter 3 - !!!!!! offer of.... £8100 AGAIN!

Any ideas on what to do next? Another letter offering the same ammount?

    Cheers

Just a thought - but after reading a few other threads do you think it's wise to ask for my cca? Should I be asking Lowell or the original lender?

    Quick question...
By offering a !!!!!! have I admitted liability for the debt to them? Is it still worth asking for my cca?

    Cheers

Guys - any help or advice you can give on this will be much appreciated. I don't know what to do next - it's clear that all their responses are computer generated but I don't want to call them as I want records of all communication.

I think I've done things a bit backwards as I've already acknowledged the debt (i think?). i'm not disputing that i owe the money, and tbh, i don't care who i owe it to, I just want to pay it off for as little as possible so I can get on with the rest of my life and start to repair my credit score.

    Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers

I would personally continue as you have been doing. If it goes to court, you can prove you have sent letters to them and that it is their disorganisation that has caused it to progress so far.

I don't know if anyone else has anything to offer here?
