Comfortable Footwear Not 'too Expensive

Have got really sore feet just now and been looking for a pair of ankle boots, flat black leather lacing with a moulded sole so that it is a bit more comfortable. Take a 7.5 but usually end up getting an 8 as so few places stock 7.5. Don't know if that's why my feet are sore.
Got a pair from Scholl and the front of the sole is starting to come away. Too late to take them back but had expected them to last longer.
Don't seem to be many bargains around now so any help appreciated.

If you have an outlet near you there may be a Hotter store. Their boots and shoes are so comfy. The outlet prices are about half of those in the catalogue.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0

Although these are different to the type of boots you want, I thought I'd post anyway. I bought a pair of suede flat black ankle boots from Tesco in November time, they were £12 and are so comfy, furry inside so lovely and warm too.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Reiker shoes and boots are very comfy I just got a pair in the sale at Charles Clinkard for £34 ( and Quidco discount) I had a pair for two years and they are just about dead but I have worn them most days.0

Another vote for Hotter shoes. They are more expensive but the are good quality and last a long time.0

Thanks for your suggestions. Think one of the local dept stores sells Hotter and Reiker and they have a sale on so will look. Might also have a look at Marks Footglove although they don't last too long. Don't like spending a lot on footwear esp after the scholl ones but sometimes needs must.0

Sometimes you can get a bargain on Ebay too; lots of new items for sale not just used, you will probably have more choice than me too as you are not as common as me (I'm a 5).
At the end of last year I bought a brand new pair of Clarks boots for less than a third of what they were new, free P&P too. I had the exact pair of boots for years and they were dropping to bits and I'm so pleased I've got a replacement; they're like slippers.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

I reccomend Hotter shoes too. Bought a pair of boots in October for a shopping trip to London and have practically lived in them since!0

I love my DM's and El Naturalista shoes

My nan used to say
"spend money on good shoes and beds, you spend your life in one or the other" which i think is true but if she was still here i'd enjoy telling her about all the very good/expensive shoes i've bought in the sale,

I bought some boots whilst on holiday a few weeks ago in Scarborough, I wish I had found them on the first day rather than the last.
The shop was called Cushion Flex and they do have a website.
Easily the most comfy boots Ive ever had and I have a bunion and dropped mets on my right foot, so need soft tops and bottoms. £20 well spent. In fact im going to order another pair from the website.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
