Home Bargains Best Buys

I am pretty new to money saving but drastically need to reduce grocery/household bills and have been reading some of the threads here with interest and admiration over the past couple of weeks.
As recommended I went to Home Bargains today to pick up some of the Nicky loo rolls which alot of you rave about and must say I think they are excellent. I also bought some soda crystals and stardrops and will search for more of their uses later.
I just wanted to ask what the best buys were in Home Bargains as the shop was huge and I don't want to go and spend a fortune, sort of defeating the object.
So any best buys??
Thanks

I usually buy the tinned tomatoes from there as they often 4 tins £1 and Heinzzz tom soup is cheaper but they dont always have this. Roberts bread is 89p where as in Te$co its £1.35 tea bags are cheaper than our other shops, biscuits, toilet rolls like you say and the kitchen rolls, shower gel is often cheaper for a good make. Too late now but at Christmas the chocolates are cheaper, egg fried rice is another one we often pick up, gravy granules and when its in stock the tomato sauce. Herbs and spices I get from there as well. Crisps 99p for 6 bag Wa!kers. Fr*y Bento$ pies are cheaper as well although I cant stand them myself. Unfortunately ours isnt a large store so they dont carry all the items that large stores do. We used to buy the flavoured water from there as well but hardly buy it now.
Certainly worth having a good look around it when you have time.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
The best buys are what you want and will use, that in turn will save you money.0

Hi Tilly,
These threads should help:
HOME BARGAINS finds thread 5
HOME BARGAINS finds thread 4
As this is a shopping thread I'll move it over to the the grocery shopping board.

I always keep a stock of the Bella Ricetta Cherry Tomatoes in - 3 for £1 and every bit as good as Sainsbury's Taste the Difference ones which were 89p per tin last time I looked! (They also do a chopped tomato in the same brand but I think the cherry tomatoes have more flavour)
As previously suggested, see what they sell and if you see something you usually buy and it's cheaper, then grab it! I personally find their range of branded cleaning products are a good buy."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
