    RECIPE

Thats the one!! I seem to remember it took twice as long to cook as they said but that may have been down to the dodgy school ovens. It tasted really nice, curious but nice:p

    Okay how about this one

    Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

    3 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    6 tbsp. cocoa
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise

Measure dry ingredients into sifter. Measure remaining ingredients into mixing bowl and stir. Add sifted ingredients. Mix quickly just until blended. Bake at 325 degrees about 30 minutes or until cake tests done

My recipe books are fine, it's Google and the internet that's the problem :rotfl:

I made that mayonnaise cake a few years ago. It tasted fine. I used to have loads of old recipes but I "decluttered". Courgette cake is lovely as well, I will try to find the recipe.
  • Has anyone ever made "Mashed Potato Chocolate Cake"? Wouldn't spring to mind immediately when using leftovers would it?. There are a few recipes on google, but couldn't find one in metric/imperial. Not sure what the equivalent of a "cup" of mashed potato would equate to.

there's a good recipe site that i use its https://www.allrecipes.com its an american site but u can change the measures to imperial and metric and u can scale the recipes up or down. they're normally in quantitys of like 12 servings so i alway 1/2 it.
