What to write on form

I haven't yet looked at the form I will need to complete to petition for Bankruptcy yet but I am of the understanding that you need to write a sort of overview of how you came to be at this point.
The reason DH & I are where we are is a very long & painful story that started four years ago with the rape of my then 13 yr old daughter. The fallout from the rape has been horrific resulting, four years later in us having our home repossessed.
Do I need to explain all this on the form? About what happened to my daughter? Her resulting drinking & drug taking? Her violence? The house moves? The need to protect my younger children? The need for my husband to give up one of his jobs? etc etc

There is really no need to be so specific.
See for example: http://mymoney.nedcab.org.uk/moneyadvice/bankruptcy628.asp?pNo=26
If you feel you need to explain the absolute origin of the problems, then I suppose you could state that they stemmed from a "traumatic incident" and the after effects. A judge or the OR may ask what I suppose, but the exact nature has no bearing on your BR case.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
