After two years of trying finally got a job

Sorry just have to share before i burst with pride.

My 21 year old son did three years at college training to be a plumber, thinking he would be able to walk into a job or at least be able to earn a decent living on his own. Hardly any work experience during the college course due to the recession, and so didnt get an NVQ and wasnt confident enough to set up on his own, so has spent the last 2 years applying for work, doing temporary seasonal jobs in the vain hope something would eventually come up in the plumbing field.

Just heard today that he has got a plumbing related job with a very reputable company, and very local too. Im so proud of him for not giving up, and bouncing back after every knock down, and keeping motivated.

The jobcentre have been useless and its been all down to his own hard work and persistance. Well done Son, im proud of you.

Good luck to all you jobseekers out there , persistance will pay off in the end.

Oh brilliant lindabelle :T:T:T. I'm very pleased for you and your son, even though I don't know you, :D. Being turned down for job after job can get so demoralising and it is so easy to give up altogether.
  • Yay nice to see some positive news on here, hopefully it's a good boost for everyone that's job seeking at the moment. Congrats! :)

Top job that man. Just wish my son was as keen to get a job instead of claiming ESA.
