Hi i am unsure of the tax status if i cash a Bond i have had since1994.
it was originally a MG Dividend Bond now part of Prudential.
i cannot find the original documents but thought that tax was paid within the fund.
I opened the bond with £ 25,000 it is worth about £ 75,000 approx now.
Many thanks

Lots of different types of bonds with lots of confusing tax implications. I would suggest that you ring to ask them before encashing. Ask, in particular, if the sale gives rise to a chargeable event.0
