Hi,
I have a friend who has a final salary scheme she's been paying into for a number of years. She is concerned that her employer may go bust. Is there anything she can do to protect her pension ?

Yeah, to summarise what the link [presumably] says:
The pension protection covers the payments to continue at 90% of the benefit up to £32k p.a should the company go bust or their pension reserves not fulfil their requirements.0
