Ltd Co in Administration Help Please

Hi, my husbands Ltd company went into administration on 15th Jan 13. I was company secretary on the business.
I have my own business that I am Director on. I have tried to log into this account at Nat West today and it won' let me in. I have spoken to Nat West and they say there are some notes from HMRC on the account.
I rang Companies House and they have nothing on their records that back this up.
Can the Official Received freeze my business bank account because I was a Co Sec on my husbands account ?
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Ok firstly - did you husbands business go into Liquidation or Administration. If it was Administration it will not be anything to do with the OR but an Insolvency Practitioner.
Companies House are totally seperate from HMRC so CH won't be able to tell you anything about the notes on your Natwest account from HMRC.
Did you act as guarantor on your husbands Natwest Ltd Co business account? Was any money owed to Natwest by your husbands Ltd Co? If the answer to these questions is yes they could have the right of 'set-off' between the two accounts even though they are 2 seperate legal entities.
At the end of the day Natwest should tell you why your account has been frozen and you need to speak with them further and be more forceful with them and demand to know why your account has been frozen0
