How long before I'm a new customer again?

Hi,

I had a Tesco 0% card a couple of years ago, and paid it off and closed the account about a year ago.

I'd like another 0% on purchases card (I've got the M&S one but it'll end soon).

If I apply again to Tesco - will I be a new customer again and eligable for the 0% rate again?

I have two figures in my mind. I'm sure it used to be 8 months when they had the JV with RBSG. But I seem to recall it may be 12 months now.

Then again, the eligibility section on their website only says that...

- You must not have applied in the last 6 months, and

- You also must not currently hold a Tesco card.

In summary, and because you say "about a year ago" I think you'd be better asking Tesco Bank your question directly.

Answer is 6 months, I opened another card 6 months + 2 days yesterday to take advantage of the 16 months inerest free.
