Flat rate mileage

Hi
On the subject of mileage...flat rate this year is 45p, can anyone tell me what the flat rate covers, I know its fuel, insurance, repairs and tyres. I am self employed and have AA Breakdown at £180 a year, does it include this or can I claim part of it back on say a, 40%/60% ratio, I've trolled through all the online guides but cant find anything on breakdown cover, I do need this as part of my self employment I drive constantly. Thanks in advance for any help. (Sorry I posted this at the bottom of a thread not realising it was an old one (havent been on here for ages and forgot) )

No other motoring expenses other than HP interest may be claimed if you use this method.

  • Thanks for that, not what I was wanting to hear lol...but thank you.
  • And remember, the rate reduces once you've done more that 10,000 miles in any given year.
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...
