I'm hopeless with flowers (apart from knowing when they look pretty!!:o) I'm trying to get an idea of how much they will cost for our budget. I've found someone who did my friends wedding flowers so we can get a quote, so far I'm going to ask for:
Brides bouquet
3xbridesmaids bouquet
Button holes (who for?! Groom, bestman, ushers and dads??)
1x Arrangement for church
Is this everything? I don't need centrepieces as the venue is providing these, I started a thread about decorating pews and intend to make some flowers and use tulle. I know it will depend on the type of flower, but what sort of budget do you think we need? And who do we buy button holes for?!
Thanks in advance

For ours we are having
Bride bouquet
4 x bridesmaids
Groom button hole
7 x ushers and dads button holes
2 x cosarges
1 x long and low for the top table
This is costing £240 which I thought was pretty good. We are going to do table centres ourselves.
The price really does depend on the type of flowers you have.
We are having button holes for dads, all the ushers and groom. But I don't think you HAVE to have certain people its up to you.0 -

I have a friend doing mine so can't really give you any florist prices but just wanted to add that to keep costs down ask your for its to only use flowers in season at the time of your wedding as that will be much cheaper than exotic/ out of season flowers.0

My bridesmaids are having cream roses and I'm having cream roses and purple hydrangeas. So not really expensive but roses are not cheap either. I'm having the same flowers in the top table and in cosarges. The button holes are roses too!
I haven't a clue about flowers really and just got quotes from around 5 different florists. Then went for the one I liked the most who also happened to be the cheapest.0 -
got quoted based on 3 florists 60-70 for bridal handtie
shower/teardrop style boquet are general more
sheath ie the ones you lay over your arm are general less
upward £6 each per buttonhole
50-60 for bm
these are guides it largely depends on whats in season the size of the boquet. so have an idea of what you want rose are available all year round but lily of the valley is the most expensive flower and usually only really in season in may.:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120 -
I think you can spend as much or as little as you want - they will reduce the price for smaller arrangements etc.
HTH:
Bride's Bouquet - £75
Bridesmaid's Bouquet's - £50-60
Flower girl Bouquet - £30-40
Corsages/buttonholes - £6-8 each
Pedestals (we had these on either side of the end of the aisle) - £60-£80 each
Top table display - £50-£60
Mum's thank you bouquet's £25 each
Cake posy - £15
Some florists also charge a deliver and set-up charge - about £50 is the norm for this.
Just a rough guide some florists are more and some are less, but HTH0 -
I am paying
£85 for my brides bouquet
3 x bridesmaids bouquet at £55 each
Button holes £6.95 each (we are getting these for groom, best men, dads and mums)
Top table arrangement £45
We also have wands for the flowergirls.0 -
