Just a quick question if anyone can help please...
Just dismantled my son's metal framed bed and took the mattress to the tip with some other items.
Is it worth taking the frame to one of those metal weighing in places, or do they only pay pennies in which case it may cost more in fuel to drive there?
    Many thanks

Have a look in your yellow pages or local paper - some of them will come to you with a van kitted out with weigh scales. I've also got one of these which I'm thinking of doing the same with. I think it varies from place to place though. We sold a metal tank several years ago to one of these places, and got around £30 or £40 for it.

I forgot to add yesterday ... £20 Clubcard Vouchers to my tally.

Am loving your total dorajar and well done on the premium bond win! What is it with £? Sometimes when its on a roll it just keeps on coming - which is great!! :)

Quiet day for me today. Been in work so no "extra" money coming in and no activity to generate it! Am hoping for £70 ish in ebay sales this weekend though but obviously that is far from an exact science so who knows what will happen.

Have now washed amd dried all my DS's next stuff in ages 2-3 years and will probably make it up into 3 or 4 bundles to list over the weekend as there is quite a lot of it. It has been sat in storage for over a year so will be pleased whatever it makes really. Thanks for the advice re: just listing it.

Ps. Well done mammy on your first "stash" towards your total. It may seem small but it soon add's up!
  • Another 15p TCB

I need to check accounts etc tomorrow to see if i have any £ to add to my total yet - need to get my bum in gear as i'm still working on my Jan target atm LOL!
