Can I ask a question about car boot sales? I have a bunch of stuff that I want to try and sell but I think postage would make it undesirable on ebay - I've tried collection only on ebay but no luck and I wondered what kind of stuff sells at car boots, I've got a random assortment including a few old fiction books, 2 cook books, old DVDs, PS2 games, a fondue set, shot glasses, a few clothes, hat and scarf set, tigger teddies, a couple of board games, a couple of photo frames and a few xmas gift sets like body lotions etc. Do you think I could sell this kind of stuff at a car boot?

I have been car booting for a couple of years now. I find that you can sell almost anything if it is at the right price and there lies the art. You will only find that out with experience. Different things sell at different boot sales I find and we have a lot of them in this area. I worked it out you could sell every day of the week in the summer except Monday if you want to then someone started one on Mondays!!!
The things you mention are certainly possible to sell but if you have more than one have a look round to decide your best option taking pitch fees and fuel to get there into account.
My omly warning- They are addictive and either you love them or hate them. I am going stir crazy at the moment as it has rained every Sunday and at the moment they are the only ones on.
Have a go and Good Luck

One of my items was a re-list and it finishes later. I re-listed it as when it sold previously the winner did not pay or respond (it was only a 99p item). It is currently up to £3 so not mega bucks but the non-payer appears to have done me a favour :j

Sorry to post yet again but I am so pleased with myself I had to share. For the first time in I dont know how long I have worked the money out so that bank charges will not take us over our O/D limit and I have made a small overpayment to the CC. If I can continue this I may be able to make inroads into our debts.
This is all thanks to the inspiration from you good people so many many thanks to all.

Thanks for the info gemini12, its good to know I'm not hoarding the 'junk' for nohting. I think it will be a one off for me as I just want shut of all the stuff but some money woud be nice so I don't want to give it away - a modest profit after pitch fee would suit me. I've just sorted out my wardrobe and added about 20 items of clothing to the pile so if I could even get a quid each for them alone I think I'm onto a winner! Think I will just keep adding to the pile until spring when the weather gets better and then have a good go at selling! A big well done on the money re-jig and cc payments too - you've obviously got a good hold on the finances this month!

I have a £2 MrA gift card to add as they messed up my bill (again!), very regular occurance at the moment although £2 profit for a few mins waiting to get it fixed is not so bad, haha.
