I will not be forced to buy something for my wife on a particular day just because some marketing executives feel they need to put that pressure on us, I buy things for my wife when I see something that I think she would like every few weeks/months. We are mega-skint at the moment and I will not spend money when I don't need/want to.
Having said that, I usually get her a card and spend some time thinking of what I want to say to her and how she makes me feel, and love the words that she writes to me. This is a far greater present than any bottle of wine/T-shirt she could have bought for me. What means the most to me, is how we feel about each other.
I would suggest to any woman writing some words in a card, or simply a piece of paper telling her man how he makes her feel will be the best present you can get him.0 -
Bit late now, it's 10.30ish in the a.m. of the big day, but can I suggest something 'made' by your loved one? Could be a card, dinner, vouchers for treats, whatever.
My girlfriend and I both do a bit of that, and it's usually cheaper than many of the purchased options

There was a quidco offer to effectively get 12 roses delivered for 'free' (after cashback). I did this for my OH, and I do hope he gets them. He works in a very masculine environment, and we both get a kick out of him getting flowers delivered at work! Last year I went for an arrangement with (manly)blues and purples in, but was a bit disappointed with the result.
I also found a similar offer for chocolates via TopCashBank which was posted on the Grabbit forum I believe. I gave these to him last night while we were watching a film. I bought these before the flowers, and didn't want to overdo it!
I will probably bake something heart shaped, as I have lots of tins and moulds we never use, and make something nicer than usual for dinner.Swagbucks Amazon gift vouchers 2014 125/250

Suggestions from the menfolk at work included video games, cologne, cooking his favourite meal, lingerie (for you to wear and him to admire!) and tickets to a sporting event. Like any other gift giving occasion I think the important thing is to think about what the other person would like/appreciate and what you can afford to do!
I think browneyedbazzi is right. Personally although flowers, chocolates etc is nice I want something I can enjoy. A nice techy gadget, or a fancy watch.
A great place to get valentines day gifts for men (if hes into gadgets and tech) is:
