Had a bit of a fraught week last week, so was MIA - thank you Itzy, for starting the thread.

A friend had been gifted a huge amount of toiletries and cleaning stuff, far more than she could use. She duly regifted. Stand by for Non Bought Ins.

I now have a 600 ml Sanex bath cream for very dry skin (will use as foot bath), a 400 ml Pantene Anti Dandruff 2 in 1 shampoo, DS has a large men's S&G shower gel, also I have a 75ml BS strawberry body scrub (will use on feet again) and a 60 ml BS Moringa shower gel.

I also had a S&G men's hair and body wash that I passed on to DD for DSoiL.
DSoiL likes labels, so he will be a happy bunny.

I am chuffed with all this, it will all get used.
I had really wanted to try Moringa, as so many people raved about it, but I can't justify BS prices on my current income.

I used the Moringa sg on Saturday, and I did like it. I also tried the Pantene and it really seemed to suit my hair, despite my not usually having a problem with dandruff.

I bought a footwarmer from Primarni on Sat. - oh bliss. It was half price at £4, and is a covered cushion with elasticated ankled cuffed holes to put your feet inside, and a separate compartment for a hot water bottle. My feet get very cold unless I wear my furry Crocs, as I have laminate flooring and naff circulation.

However I'm supposed to wear a raised shoe at least sometimes and not Crocs all the time, due to my disability, so it's a bit of a Catch 22 which the footwarmer solves. The ankle apertures were much too small for my cankles, so I carefully took the elasticated cuffs off.
    Perfick.

Edit. Forgot to add my UU of an Avon Skin So Soft Soft and Sensual Dry Oil Spray.
WIBA? Yes, love this product and it's often half price. It's great for decent moisturising when you are in a rush. Already have an Original that is 2/3rds gone, that I'll replace.
I read rave reviews of Avon's Signature Body Oil and that was on offer for £1.50 in the sale bit of the latest brochure. So that and some body lotion plus 150 ml of foot cream will be on the way in 10 days.
Lotion stocks are low, ditto foot cream - am UUing other things to spin my Gorgeous Feet cream out. So no naughty step. If I'd bought shampoo, conditioner or shower gel it would have been a different matter!

Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream, 50ml - WBA, really love hand creams :) This one smells amazing and really moisturises hands! They have been so dry during the winter months!

My hands have been terrible as well but are now clear again. My favourite hand lotion at the moment is the Champneys citrus one that I bought in the Jan sales. Whilst it's quite runny in texture in absorbs very well and smells gorgeous.

I was trying to work on my workmate yesterday to authorise the purchase of L'occitane hand wash for the bathroom at work. Wouldn't be very MSE considering that somebody bought a wholesale lot of Morrisons handwash x

Could anyone tell me if you can get the free L'Occ hand cream from stockist or just their store?

Not sure if anyone has answered this but I'm pretty sure it's L'Occitane stores only. Until they opened a store in the Trafford Centre I never got to use these vouchers as our nearest store was Manchester and I rarely travel into the City to shop anymore.
Painted my nails yesterday with OPI liquid sand - cant let go - ive never had textured nail varnish before and it takes some getting used to. I actually added top coat as I preferred the look.

I've got the Stay the Night one and quite like the matte look. Have never liked it before.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Just painted my nails and used my new essie top coat, it was really thick so took a bit of getting used to, but seems ok now it's dry... fingers crossed it helps my polish last a bit longer :)

What do you guys do when your nail polish goes gloopy?

    Lucy

Hi Lucy, I use OPI nail thinner which I bought last year and still have over half of it left. I use it mostly to loosen up Nail Envy.

    I have a UU today:
15: L'Occitane Fleur Cherie Hand Cream 30ml - WBA, hopefully will be when I claim my freebie!! This was originally a freebie in a magazine and really love the scent

This one was not on offer at the Trafford Centre store. The choices there were the rose one, shea butter, lavender and a honey one in a white tube that reminded me of Winnie the Pooh for some reason. x

Naughty, naughty SJ! I have 3 ins to declare! 50mls dkny delicious Paris edition A Nivea roll on deo (25% off boots voucher) and philosophy Christmas cookie, which FINALLY went half price in boots (I had some love to shop vouchers to spend) I did restrain myself as I wanted to buy s&g sugar crush wash, scrub and butter on 3 for 2 as I ADORE the scent but it's almost always on a 3 for 2 anyway so I will get some when my stash has been run down a bit

Not so bad if you had vouchers and at least you stopped yourself at the S&G 3 for 2's. You are adapting to the challenge if you at least recognise that these offers always come around.

No more UUs for me just yet although I have splutterers. Thought I would take the chance on catching up on the thread since I was quite busy at the weekend (Emma was at a Karate Tournament on Sunday though sadly didn't win a medal - lost out by .1 of a point!). Am at home with Emma today though as she's not well at all - has raging temperature and barking cough. Is now tucked up in bed so I should really get on with some jobs and resist the temptation of sitting surfing all day.

Have had a little nosey at the new OPI collection that's due for release tomorrow and can honestly say I'm not very impressed by any of the colours. Mind you, I do this every time then see them on QVC and want them all! Am hoping that my local Sally's will now reduce all the Germany ones they have left so that I can get my hands on a full sized Nein Nein Nein OK Fine. x

I have been very very bad and will be on the naughty step for a very long time. I have bought BOTH Urban Decay Oz Palettes. I did use my Debenhams beauty club Card points so got both for £50 and got more points and its double points this month. I calculate that each palette is worth over £100, so have gotten over £200 worth for £50 so really good value. They are both build your own palette palettes, so the palettes can be reused once the shadows it comes with have been used. Now do I count these as 2 ins or 16 as each comes with 6 removable shadows an eyeliner and a lip gloss.

I am very jealous! I want the Glinda one - the Theodora one looks nice too but I have lots of brown/neutral colours in my Naked palettes. I will be proud of myself if I can just restrict myself to the one palette - and anyway, as you've pointed out they are really good value :rotfl:

  • A makeup UU! Avon Glimmerstick in Diamond Steel WBA lasted well and I like the fact you twist it up so no sharpening required. Good colour and not to sparkly (wore it for work so its not that blingy).

Had the new Avon book through last night and they have brought back the gel eyeliner pencils which I love in more colours - dont like the black or silver. So will be placing an order as I suspect they will disappear again.

    Morning!

    Another UU for me...

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Floral & Flirty Blush 200ml

WBA but I have 7 more of various flavour Batiste ones in my stash thanks to a glitch which made them 10p each instead of £2.99, so of course I stocked up!

I've very pleased with them, they are lovely, I haven't got one of the Naked palettes, and thought these would be good for taking on holiday and they are reusable rather unlike the Naked Palettes. Not buying myself anything else now. Just need to decide which one to use when we go to see the film next month.
