How To Make Myself Bankrupt

There are two forms I need to fill in, the Debtors Bankruptcy Petition and the Statement Of Affairs. Do I need to take both these forms to the court when I pay for my bankruptcy??

Are you sure there are no other options for you. It will take 6yrs before you are allowed to bankrupt again.

Who plans to go bankrupt again?

I think thebane means before you are able to get normal credit. As in a high street bank loon etc.

  • No I don't intend to go bankrupt twice. That would just be stupid of me. But once would be good and there are no other options have spoken to debt charity and can come to no reasonable arrangement with creditors. Thanks for the help.
  • Good luck darkbanaman, Have you filled the forms in, dont sign them until you get court as it needs to be witnessed at court.
  • Thanks. Am currently filling in the Statement Of Affairs (yawn) and have got to the outgoings bit (section 7.1) and see that it is a summarised version of the SOA caluclator linked to this site. Thought it would be the same. Do they not need a more details one, or will the OR get you to do a more detailed one at a later date?

You can itemise everything else in the "other essential payments" box. Especially if you write quite small.

  • Well thats the SOA done. When I take the forms to the court and pay the £700 are they likely to make me bankrupt that day? I read somewhere on the www that it can happen?
