Job seeking '13 week review'?

Hope this is the right place
Like the title says... I have to go for a '13 week review', what exactly is it? It says I should bring proof of my job search but I'm not even getting rejection letters, so all I can do it bring the record I have to show every fortnight anyway. It sounds scary o.o
I had 2 retail jobs in a row and have been looking for a job related to my degree this time instead, and there haven't been that many. I'm starting to think I should give up on that.

When I worked in the Jobcentre (9 years ago, mind) the 13 week review was generally done by the person who signs you on, and was very informal. I take it you have been signing on for three months ?
Anyways, a list of what you have applied should be good enough : as you say, in such a short timeframe (13 weeks), it's unlikely you'd have received many rejection letters, if any. May also be useful if you say something like 'I am considering registering at a few temping agencies', 'I check the paper every week/day', 'I look in shop windows for jobs', 'I ask at local shops whether they have any jobs', that sort of thing.
The Jobcentre staff will probably just want to confirm you are fulfilling one of the main criteria for receiving benefit, that is that you are 'actively seeking employment'. I can't see that will have changed since I last worked there in 1999.0 -
I went for a 13 week review last week. It's my second one i've been to (went to one last year
) It's nothing to worry about. I was seen by a different adviser to my normal one and all they do is ask what you've been doing to look for work, check your details to see if they're still the same, look for vacancies that fit what you're looking for, ask you to sign 2 forms and they also give you a couple of booklets. It takes about 20 minutes altogether. I'm on Enhanced Restart at the Job Centre now, so i've got to go in every week
but hopefully it'll help me to find a job!! Good Luck! 0 -
Thanks
I was getting really stressed about it, because I know I've been applying but yeah - I have no proof! At least I know what it is now

Don't worry, your word is adequate proof of your jobsearch. The adviser may also have some helpful suggestions but mostly they are just confirming that you satisfy the conditions of receiving Jobseekers Allowance. Usually there is extra help with your jobsearch after 6 months and the adviser will tell you about this and what it consists of. Most people get a job before the 6 month interview so good luck.:hello:0
