I telephoned the TAX Man yesterday 25+ minutes later they answered, five minutes of press 1 press 3 press 2 ect, further on I was told to phone back in a months time. When is it going to end ? Maybe the end of the world come first ?

Maybe if they invested in people to answer the phone rather than taking people out of contact centres to put into Compliance work there wouldn't be such a delay. As it is the advisers can only answer as many calls as they can get through.

Cutting jobs is not the answer here, it needs more people on the phones.
