AQA....is it worth it?

Options
Hi guys

Have got a form to apply for AQA today, I was just wanting to ask how much work you get and what the rates of pay are? Also, do you reply by text (dumb question?) and do you get reimbursed? I can only do it in the evenings (given as 5-12) but I am not always at home as my girls have dance twice a week and I someetimes don't get home from work until after 6pm.

Advice please?

Thanks

    Hi

AQA is flexible enough to work around your current commitments, the busiest times for questions is in the evening and especially at weekends. The current pay rate is 30p per question. It is a PC based system so you won't need your mobile, but a broadband connection is recommended.

I've been doing it a couple of months, but don't get too excited about how much you can earn, it depends largely on how much time you put into it.

    Hope this helps.

You get 30p per answer. You send the answers via software on your PC. Payment is made every month directly into you bank account, but you need to sort your own tax.

You can work however many hours you want to at whatever time you want to.

You need to register as self employed, which is easy peasy.

I've been doing it in the evenings and at weekends on top of my full time job since last August. i'm being made redundant on Friday and i'm going to give it a go full time. Won't be easy - I'll need to earn a heck of lot of 30ps! but I'm willing to experiment for a couple of months.

  • I realise that the rate of pay isn't going to be great, but it's a bit of extra cash along with mystery shopping to top up my wages (NHS wages...grrr!)

Good luck with going full time!

    Thanks guys

  • Lucky you! I like my job, but bureaucracy, mismanagement and dire short staffing are killers

Never mind (hopefully) things can only get better.......
