Does anyone know when Virgin One Account t&c's changed, so it was no longer mandatory to have life insurance ?
They never notified me (I found out by accident when I enquired about closing the account), so I am wondering if I can reclaim the fees I paid ?
Thanks.

When I opened my account, I was told that although both my wife and myself had life cover through our jobs, these weren't acceptable to Virgin and we were sold a policy to cover. 12 years on we are still paying for this life policy and are both still covered through work schemes. Is there a mis- selling route for this? Anyone pursued this?0

If it were mandatory then you had to have it and it cant be mis-sold for that reason.0

No mis-sale there. Death in service is discretionary and not guaranteed. It is designed to go some way to replace lost pension benefits and a bit of short term income.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
