Of comping and have only managed to win, i think 5 small things in all that time

Yet i enter well over 60 comps a day

Anyone else as unlucky as me:eek:

I think I'm pretty unlucky too on the whole. I have been entering competitions regularly for about 7 years, since I was pregnant with my youngest. Up till last year I thought I entered a lot (perhaps about 20 a week, usually through email newsletters etc) but never won one single prize during that whole time!! about 4-5 months ago I decided to up my game and start comping as a hobby, so since then I have entered roughly 500 a week, but still really haven't won much. I thought my luck was changing in November cos I had a run of about 4 or 5 prizes within a month, nothing huge but some nice wins, but since then I've really had nothing!
I just keep telling myself that the good luck fairy is saving it all up for me, and instead of a few small or medium wins she's going to send me one massive one!! Ha ha!!

Stick at it though, cos one thing's for sure, you can't win if you don't enter! xx

I'm not very lucky but I do win regularly - on a normal day I enter about 3 times as many as you (not including the magazine dailies). What comps do you enter? if you are only entering things like holidays, gift vouchers etc that will affect your chances of wining as a lot of people only enter for big prizes.

I enter a lot more too. Probably 500 a day if not more and I probably average about 1 small win a week so percentage wise it isn't great.

Try entering the comps where there are more winners. Such as 1000 kitkats, might be a small win but chances are better and it helps with the moral.

Thanks hamsterfan1 and Kitten_Pie, wow, you enter so many more than i do, i do enter for small things like make up and stuff like that, but i don't bother with kids stuff, books, dvd's and games etc as i wouldn't find any use for them as i don't have any kids...

Ah well, i will keep entering, i'm sure i will start winning sooner or later

If not, how on earth can you enter 500 a day!! :eek: That's over 180,000 per year! and where are they all?

i just enter everything i can and thats not working too bad for me. Just try and keep positive about it and continue to enter. odds are one day you will win something! just keep your chin up x

I did take a good 4 months off last year so haven't entered anywhere near 180,000, and occasionally I do go out of an evening although I try to get ahead to cover this.. This is me just guessing. I don't keep track of exactly how many I enter. I may have over estimated but having a look through:

There were approx 50 pages of E:31/01 with approx 20 comps on each page which makes around 1000 comps. As it was the end of the month there are generally more ending then but this also doesn't include the daily/weekly comps.

Today there are 16 pages of E:01/02 which equal approx 340 and the dailies where there are currently over 200 comps listed.

My over estimation may have been because I was basing it on E:31/01 where there are always a lot more to enter and with the advents last month I am still in overwhelm mode . I hope that this clarifies some things.;)

(I also don't enter every competition out there but I try to enter as many as I am interested in or know someone I could give it to as a gift. It is a numbers game after all)
