LLoysTSB Loan Help!!!
Hi. I took out two loans over 6yrs ago now and never had this problem before at all.
I two years ago I had no choice but to go onto a repayment plan of £5 a month witch LLoyds excepted. After 6 month the repayment plan had finished so I got a call stating that it was over and could I go back to paying the narmal amount I use to pay before getting the repayment plan. I said yes thats fine. Everything was via DD so I thought everything was going out and being payed for since July 2012.... NOPE... I received a letter from a collections company stating a date for a court hearing in december 2012... since then Ive had loads of letters from collections companies demanding payment... when I received the letter in december 2012 I looked at my account. LLoyds had not taken the loan payments since JULY and AUGUST 2012 even though the DD was still active. I then phoned them and asked why they had stoped my payments and taken my loans to a collection agency when I agreed to pay and it was all set up through DD and still active... They told me to go to LLoyds bank... I went to lloyds bank to be told to ring the collection agency... the collection agency told me that it was with them as I had defulted and lloyds had received no payment since august 2012.. Like I said it was all set up via DD so how could I miss a payment unless LLoyds didn't take the money out.
Please help and I would like to know what I can do about it as ive already told the collection agency I will not pay a penny at all until ive gone to C.A.B.
Any help here would be very good.

It sounds as if the DD may have expired. It's not clear from your post the exact period, but it seems that was was as much as 18 months between starting your payment plan and going back to regular payments. Also not clear as to whether the DD has been called on at all in the last couple of years.
To address the more pressing issues - as you haven't been making the payments, presumably you still have this amount, so can bring the payments up to date? That would stave off the current DCA activity, while you sort out the DD issue with Lloyds.0 -
You need to pay something before the matter exacerbates.
Contact the collection agency and make a proposal to them.
All the CAB will do is tell you not to pay anything.DEBTFREE AND PROUD!!0 -
it was 6 month I was on a repayment plan for no longer... The DD is still even now active at my end and LLoyds and has never been cancelled at all. I personally refuse to pay anything until this mess is sorted out tbh as the APR would of mounted up and I dont see why I should pay it when LLoyds are the ones that have made the mistake and it should be with a collection agency at all. The collection agency was understanding and told me to get in touch once ive been to C.A.B0

Well, that's obviously your perogrative but will only make matters worse. For whatever reasons, you are behind in your payments, which you will need to make up. So why not do it now to save yourself from worse trauma? Then you can sort out the root of the problem.
But you don't argue about who left the bath running when your lounge is filling up with water.0 -

Are you sure Lloyds have not communicated with you at any point it seems remarkable that they have not. If they havent then you are within your right to tell the collection agency that you have received no communication from Lloyds so do not recognise their power to talk to you. Then I suggest that
1) You go to Lloyds and propose to pay the outstanding amount that has not been collected. On condition that they correct any interest charges so the account is where it should be
2) I would make sure that you check your bank statements weekly I cannot believe that you have not noticed this it would seem to suggest that you need to control your finances better by reconciling your account to what you expect to happen.0 -
I am sorry but this is your entire fault.....how can you not notice that since summer last year, Lloyds was not taking again the usual payment.....unbelievable & you are now surprise!!0

If the money is still in your account why don't you PAY0
