Confused

Hi All,
My ex husband and I were made bankrupt on 2011 and was discharged last year. I am just confused if people deals with bankruptcy reviews on incomes? I was allowed on my monthly budget £70 for holidays that's for me and 2 kids, what's bothering me is since my ex husband got bankrupt he went 4 times abroad for holidays 2 weeks each time, and paid his girlfriend as well to Thailand and they got married abroad as well. I am just confused why he is only paying £100 of Ipa if he can afford luxury not even bought a pair of socks for his kids since he left, until this day I need to pack kids clothes for them to wear on weekend everytime he is having kids. This Ipa calculations is confusing me.

  • Dry pocket, I don;t know the answer to your question but it doesn't sound at all right. He shouldn't be going on holiday without paying anything for his kids

Hopefully someone can offer better advice soon though

How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on... when in your heart, you begin to understand. There is no going back. There are some things that time cannot mend... some hurts that go too deep. That have taken hold.

to put a balanced view.....it is unwise to judge someone simply by what they are perceived to be doing.

Re-holidays? It could just be, that someone else paid for those holidays?

Also, foreign holidays can be had incredibly cheaply.....cheaper than staying at home, sometimes...?

Plus, there is nothing in Bankruptcy that makes it mandatory to live the life of a hermetic pauper for the duration...........whilst expenditure is accepted on the SOA, how one spends that expenditure is entirely up to the individual....and is not dictated by the OR or the Law.

I, for one, certainly would not have turned down a foreign holiday if offered one......regardless of financial obligations!
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
