    Thank you for your advice. Based on the information given, do you think it is likely that we would be accepted for the mortgage with a 10% deposit?

    The broker I saw on Saturday recommended either Nationwide (same as L&C) or Abbey. Abbey will work out slightly cheaper over the two year fixed period and has better incentives (free valuation, £250 cashback) so he is putting it to them on Monday and we should get a decision in principle and then, if it's accepted, he'll put the full application through.
