Csa backpayments

MY Son died at the age of eleven a few months ago, the CSA have just contacted me as they want to close the account, i sent payslips 2 years ago after a pay increase, however they sent them back with a complements slip, but never increased my payments. now however he has died, they need to close the account, because they didn't increase my payments when i notified them of my pay increase, they now demand a shortfall of over two thousand pounds.....that's their fault,, or am i being picky? shouldn't they just close the account. I've already lost my son. what are they trying to do? most importantly how do i stop them???? please help..,

    Contact your MP.

    Sorry for your loss.

All i can say is that this is the CSA all over, i would contact your MP as a matter of urgency, but also a well worded email to a few of the bigger daily newspapers might give them a serious kick up the backside...!!!

Also, raise a formal complaint demanding compensation for insensitivity to the tune of the amount owed...! And note that you will take any and all action available to you to right this wrong that they have started.

I have no idea how you are feeling, i know what it would do to me, but don't give up hope, and try to move forward while remembering what you can. This is going to be the best thing you can do... And i feel for you i really do.
  • Definitly agree with contacting your mp. I did with my case and they are very good. They also take note of personal circumstances which is a must in your situation. They are being beyond insensitive.
  • So sorry for your loss..it's doesnt surprise me that the CSA are doing this they are not know for their sensitivity in any situation.
It's a must to contact your MP -they have a way of speeding things up.
The media seem reluctant to touch the CSA despite many of us trying, but your situation is being treated in very heartless way!
Do hope they show some consideration to you.

Just incase this isn't a troll, asking for a DNA wont work as you would have had to deny paternity as soon as the case was opened. If your ex partner was on benefits at any time then the arrears will be due to the secretary of state.
