I don't ever recall receiving a discharge notice, is there a time limit to ask the OR for one I went BR 3 Oct 2006.
Thanks

If it was an automatic discharge, you do not get a notice from the OR. You could always get one from your court but this will cost you, it was something like £70 from what I can remember but could be different now.:pB&SC No. 298

The OR might be prepared to write a letter confirming discharge, but it has been a long time since.......

Got a letter coming, he said it might not be enough and as been said a court issued one might be in order.
Just clearing up my file and Natwest is the only one still showing me as in default.0 -

I think they just say that if you don't hear by such and such a date assume you've been discharged. I went bankrupt back in 2009 and I think that's what happened. Hope things are back on track for you? I've never got another credit card, from choice, I much prefer debit cards. I also decided that I don't actually care what my credit rating is because it is only important if I want credit, which I don't! So all of this bunk about getting a good score is pants really....unless you need a mortgage that is.0

Yeah i got a CC from Vanquis but have never paid a penny interest.
Got a limit of £1250 over the few years i have had it, more of a safety net if anything.
I got a cash plus from Nationwide the day after i went BR (when they were accepting them) and that got upgraded to a debit card.0 -
You need to apply to the court that handled your BO for the discharge certificate. You will need it in the future for a whole host of things! I've been discharged for 4 years (almost five) and just started to attempt to buy a house... not easy (and may not happen) but everyone I have talked to has asked for my Discharge Certificate!
£60 well spent IMO!0 -
I received a letter from my OR and sent that off to Natwest on Friday. I had an email that my noodle credit file had changed so logged in and now it's 5/5 and no sign of Natwest.0

I always have trouble with acronyms on here but that one made me giggle....you probably need to be of a generation that remembers "Lifebuoy" ads to understand
