HELP! Spilled paint all over garage floor

I have just gone in the garage and a shelf fell off the wall. All the tins of paint have fallen on the floor and spilled their contents.
The floor is covered in paint and I haven't a clue what to do! Will sand sprinkled on it help? Its tarry gloss type paint, I thought I'd check with you guys first to see if there is a way of doing it. Thanks in advance

cat litter or sand mushed in then scrapped off should shift some of it. Cat litter is better (the absorbing sort). have to be quick though. Good luck!0

Oh Desperate Housewife - afraid I'm giggling a bit, which isn't fair, given your circs. THing is something similar happened to us at Easter - only neither of us noticed (says lots about the state of our garage!). It was only one tin, but it's contents went an awful long way Thing was, we didn't notice until the trail of footprints appeared in our kitchen! Fortunately it was the sort that could be washed off in double quick time - but we had this problem that every time we visited the fridge or freezer in the garage, back came the footprints. DH's solution was to spread painting sheets everywhere until the surplus below had dried properly.
The cat litter thing sounds a good idea. Hope it works!Resolution:

Thanks Purpleduck and Beemuzed, I have managed to get it nearly all off with grit determination, microfibre cloths and DH!
Still got some to get up but it will have to wait till the weekend now.
Thanks guys, I'll try the cat litter idea for next time (lol)Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000
