Training provider bankrupt! training material not recieved!

Hello Everyone,

A number of years ago I took out a career development loan with barclays to pay for a course with Advent training.

A number of years later Advent went into insolvency, leaving me with a large sum of money to pay off and only one part of the six part course supplied in training materials.

I was wondering if anyone knew what my rights were? Barclays have just said that any grievances with the training provider are nothing to do with them and I still have to pay it off.

I have paid out a lot of money now and I haven't seen any of the course work for it.

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Comments

  • If whoever sold you the course also sold you the loan then Barclays are liable if the loan was over £100.

If that is the case I suggest you make a complaint that they misled you.
