Old Kitchen Appliances

Hi,
I have a selection of old kitchen appliances to get rid of. They are all fairly old, and not in the best condition! However, they do work.
I have:
- a fridge
- a under counter freezer
- a gas oven & hob (although the oven doesn't really work  )
- a microwave.
I don't particularly want any money for them, but it seems a shame to throw them away (or rather, pay the council to take them away). I contemplated leaving the microwave outside my house, figuring someone would take it away, but I don't want to be accused of fly tipping.
Thoughts? Do charity shops take these things?
Also - I have real problems accessing Freecycle, so perhaps that is not the best idea either!

If you can't access freecycle, can someone else put them on there for you?
Also try something like Loot or Friday-ad - you can place a free ad. You could advertise them for a minimal amount or even offer them for free. What about your local paper?0 -
Local newsagents put up a sign free to good home. Or local EA's may have FTB's that would be glad of starter stuff!0

Some charity shops must take things like this as i have seen them in our local one, otherwise as suggested try giving them away free.0

I like the idea of giving them to other FTBs - I received these appliances free as an FTB myself (the vendor left them), and it would be nice to pass them on.
I *really* need to work out Freecycle. It doesn't like my work computer. I will also go to my local shop and put a free advert in the window.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -
http://www.gumtree.com/ has a section to advertise free goods to people in your local area0

https://www.dontdumpthat.com is another similar to freecycle. I prefer it as it's forum based rather than a squillion emails. One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Are you near any colleges - students are often desperate for appliances, and an ad in the student union building might bring results?Resolution:
