Good day!

I love not being at work! Have been off sick for a few days, but have been feeling much better today, and have been pottering around the house and garden. I feel like I have accomplished so much - things that have been mentally going round and round in my head, nagging me.
I've potted some plants on, and done some washing, I've cleaned out the fridge, I've halved our home contents insurance which I am very pleased about, and I've switched our electricity, potentially saving around £50 per quarter!
Altogether I'm feeling rather pleased with myself, and just wanted to boast a little, and this is my favourite board on this website, you guys are all so friendly, not too mention helpful (I don't post much, but I do read!)!
Anyway, well done me!:T

Well Done! It's such a good feeling when you've accomplished things and been able to get them off your mind. DH and I were deciding on items to sell and items to freecycle on Saturday and they're still playing on my mind as I've not done anything about it yet! But thank you for giving me a bit of inspiration - my challenge is to have it done by the end of the weekend (working full-time has major disadvantages!!)

Nice one lauralla :T it's good to have a clear head and finish all those niggling little jobs, it's more satisfying than doing a big thing.

Good for you, Lauralla - and glad you're feeling better now.
Sometimes we just work and work and have no time to live the life we're working to pay for!
I've been off for nearly two weeks with a very painful back - and I'm finding that by using a timer to remind me to stop and rest frequently I'm now getting through some of the things that have nagged me for ages. My sewing machine has actually been set up by DH and I'm usung it - 15 minutes at a time! (Mind, I won't be sorry to be fit again!)
Don't overdo things Lauralla - but do enjoy some "me" time!

    Think twice before spending anything!

Just wanted to say thank you all for your lovely replies, hadn't really expected that! I only wish that I didn't have to work full time! I know its against womens lib etc, but I'd love to be a housewife!!! Perhaps some charity work to keep me busy and useful, but otherwise, I'd happily fill my time!
