You are entitled to a lump sum: Pension rip off/scam ? !.

Despite being a member of the telephone preference service but now over state retirement age, I keep on getting a recorded announcement on the lines of "Our records show that you are entitled to a sump sum.........." The ethos being that if I don't claim it soon I will lose it.
Not wanting to encourage the scumbags and get my active telephone number put on a sucker list, I simply put the phone down.
Could there be any data base that these shiesters are accessing that has given them my details, such as the pension tracing service or is this simply a giant phishing exercise with an advance fee scam involved?
Are we all getting these annoying interruptions?

We are registered with the TPS but to be honest it doesn't make that much difference. We get these calls all the time. Mostly PPI with us as we are not of retirement age.We even get text messages (as do a lot of people). They are a pain in the backside. Should be banned.0

Is the number withheld or do you know it?
I check this website for any number who rings me:
http://whocallsme.com/
My 80 year old Mum had a call the other day from an Indian scumbag company who 'pretend' to repair computers.
They claimed she had texted them from her mobile (she doesn't own one) to ask for help with her computer (she doesn't own one of those either).
She is also registered with TPS.
It's really infuriating, I wish something could be done about these types of calls.0 -

I have had this one several times. I am TPS as well. (and yes, it is a scam).Could there be any data base that these shiesters are accessing that has given them my details, such as the pension tracing service or is this simply a giant phishing exercise with an advance fee scam involved?
