Congratulations! I'll be nearly 52 when I get married in October... :j
I thought it a bit ridiculous to go for a traditional dress because it's also my second wedding. It's his first - and only. I thought something simple, summery and ivory. I wanted to go for silk because of erm potential overheating issues:o. I found this on ebay.

and for only £90 it seemed worth a try. Almost perfect fit, just had to get the bust altered. I do feel a bit self conscious but what the heck - the boys will be in kilts so I think my simple and summery idea would have been underdressed. Also, his mum and dad want it to be a "real" wedding..
My only challenge is that we had to postpone the wedding from Feb to October and as my dress has been fitted, I have to try to stay the same shape. I'm not so worried about putting on or losing weight - more about things sagging or drooping! :rotfl: Never had that worry at 26!0 -
