Not a sausage..Comping Fairy lost in the bad weather!

Has anyone else failed to win anything?
I would say that since August, I have probably entered between 100 and 300 competitions a week. I have not won a thing.

Also, in my entire life, I have only won a tin of baked beans (35 years ago) and a shower gel and that was 28 years ago.

Do you think that I should give up - I mean, am I just one of "those people" that wins don't happen to?

I'm not complaining and I wouldn't use the word "unlucky" at all, because I currently have my health, as does my family and that is worth more than anything, but just interested in your opinions.

I guess only you can answer that question really. I guess it comes down to one thing... has it crossed the line from being a hobby and turned into becoming a chore? If so, then you know it's probably time to focus on other things than comping..

I still enjoy the excitement of looking at my emails and wandering what the postman brings and wandering who is calling me... If it ever got to the point where that excitement had completely rubbed off I'd focus on something else to waste hours doing! Hope that helps

Definitely in the same boat! My last win was now two months ago. I'm a bit disappointed as I have entered more in December and January than probably any other months before

I won a Les Mis soundtrack and have just found out I missed out on an Advent Win. December 9th at Discover Rutland, but could have sworn I checked.

Don't despair people, I've just had a look in my diary for Jan. 2012 and I only won 2 little things, Jan. 2011 was better, but that was the Barclays Ticket Office big comp, and I won nothing else from any other company. I've had a couple of wins this month, but it's been later this month that they came through.
I've realised that January is a little bit of a slow month for comp wins. I reckon that a lot of the big companies are still picking up from Christmas and they'll start again with competitions shortly.
There's also more people having a go and tailing off after a while (just as Softpad said)

anyway, wishing everybody good luck and keep trying. and, as there is no lucky dust icon on MSE, please share amongst you, some lucky spam and birthday cake :spam::bdaycake::rotfl:;)

Ive been lucky and won 8 books from goodreads.com but i enter for every single book. I also won 2 ice hockey tickets. This is my first month of comping and i enter 100's a day and feeling a bit rubbish that i haven't won much compared to some people. I guess im just unlucky. But i can't grumble really, at least i have won something. Hoping we all get a lucky streak in February :T
