One tiny spreadsheet question!

Hello wise MFWers. I have a shiny new spreadsheet :j thanks to instructions on here
Now I want to make it highlight cells in my Ending Balance column when they drop below another 000, so the first one under 150,000, then under 149,000 etc. I have found conditional formatting and I know I can set a formula but I can't figure out how to do the sum...I keep coming back to the original ending balance minus 1000, which is clearly not right!
Does anyone know? Thanks in advance

Something like this might help although I don't have Excel to try it out:
=ROUNDDOWN(A1/1000) <> ROUNDDOWN(A2/1000)
Have fun with the colours0 -
Something like
=INT(E2/1000)<INT(E1/1000)
where E1 & E2 are the cells to compare
would do as a formula as a conditional formatting rule. Just choose how you want to highlight the cells.
That's assuming you're using Excel. Not sure if it would work on other spreadsheets.0 -
