SERP question

I have an SERPs income to top up my state pension. In the event I pass on I cannot find out what would happen to this income regarding transfer to my spouse. Would she be entitled to this income?
Can anyione provide either a suggestion how and where I can get an answer or indeed provide an answer to me.

Many thanks

As it stand at the moment your wife would be entitled to 50% or more of your SERPS entitlement depending on your date of birth.

    This should explain it.

For people retiring on or before 2017 - see here. If you retire after 2017 there wont be a second state pension but there are transitional arrangements whereby 50% of your State Pension above the base £144 can be inherited.
